Buying the Best Flight Simulator – Flight Pro Sim – A Review

Last year a friend of mine introduced me to a flight sim game called flight pro sim. He had become totally addicted and at the time I’ve got to say that flight simulators hadn’t had any great appeal to me – although in saying that, I just hadn’t really come across them, so I really wasn’t in a position to judge.

Anyway, I watched him playing this flight sim game for a few hours one day and was completely blown away.

He had purchased the whole DVD set and that came with everything you need for way less than one hundred dollars. Also with flight pro sim it came with lifetime free updates for this amazing flight simulator software, so, no need ever to buy upgrades. It also came with fantastic 3D scenery, 20,000 plus worldwide airports, 120 plus airplanes to choose from, from a 1907 Wright Brothers plane right through to World War Two Spitfires, and then modern aircraft like the latest commercial airplanes like the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747, the latest military combat planes, even helicopters and a Zeppelin. There’s definately something there for everyone to choose from.

I was so amazed I bought my own flight sim game. I choose to start my online flying lessons in a Cessna – just as you would if you were really learning to fly. First you have to learn what all the instruments mean, which didn’t take too long and then I was on my first shaky takeoff. I should say here that my friend had suggested buying a separate joystick – or yoke as it’s known in flight circles. This makes it all much more real and will only cost you about eighty dollars and are available either online or at your closest electronic store. They really make for a much more real flying experience, otherwise you are limited to your keyboard controls. The yoke simply plugs into your PC or Mac by way of a USB plug and away you go.

Anyway, once up in the air in my Cessna I soon circled my own home due to Google mapping. I took it easy on this first flight just to learn how to handle the plane but now that I’m much more experienced I can dial in all sorts of things to challenge me like sudden bad stormy weather and turbulence.

Which computer games do you think has earnt the most?

Which will be the kings in five of the best game genres?

Let’s find out…

First off it’s time to get sporty. A really massive genre here. Will it be football manager? Everybody’s golf? Adidas Street football is a bit unlikely. Can you believe Wii has got it with Sports. Would you believe it would be a newbie like this.

Ok time for the first person genre. Only a handful of games will be a contender in this genre. I think it’s a PC game. Poor graphics abound. Doom. Wrong. Halo three. Let’s get serious. Fantasy is a genre with huge amounts of buys, so maybe Golden Harvest? A character blitz but it could be SC II. Almost. Believe it or not it’s Pokemon.

What do we have next. Puzzle lovers get ready. It could be Monopoly possibly. No, this is the most classic of them all. The classic. The one and only. Tetris. The best.

Ok it’s time to put them up. Remember to get ready, fight, Perfect. There’s too many to choose from in the fighting genre. Will it be an all time great like Streetfighter. Soulcaliber it might not be to be honest. Actually it’s Smash brawl that takes this one. May have been worse.

There must of been a few there you didn’t think you would see. Games on cell phones are selling pretty well. The battle for cash continues.

Why Should You Buy the Razer Onza?

The Xbox 360 have been around for a long time now and gamer’s have been extremely happy with the controller. After all, it was a huge upgrade from the original Xbox controllers and is the best ergonomically designed out of all controllers I have used.

Razer have entered the Xbox 360 controller market for the first time with their latest product: the Razer Onza. From looking at it, it just looks like a normal Microsoft Xbox 360 controller. And it is. That is, until you look at the Razer Onza in more detail and understand exactly what goodies our friends Razer have left us.

From the huge success Razer have had in the PC gaming market, everyone is expecting great things from their new Xbox 360 controller. And great things they certainly have achieved before the controller has even been fully released. MLG (Major League Gaming) have banned this controller from use in tournament play. You can only assume that this is because the Razer Onza gives gamers such a huge advantage that it is simply unfair to use it in tournament play.

This controller, I think, is primarily for gamers who love to play Racing games, like Forza, or First Person Shooters, like Call of Duty. This is due to being able to adjust the tension in the Analogue sticks. The fact that you can loosen the tension in each individual Analogue stick is extremely useful, enabling FPS gamers, to spin on the spot with ease whilst also being able to aim with supreme accuracy. For racing games it’s useful so you can tighten the sticks up for more controlled cornering.

Yahoo Installs Bus Stop Video Games

No more boring moments waiting for your bus to come. Yahoo has decided to install giant touch screen video games in twenty bus shelters in San Francisco so people waiting for the bus can play against people at other bus shelters while they wait. Players have a choice of four mini games, single or multiplayer and results are updated in real time allowing neighborhoods to see how they are doing against cross city rivals. The neighborhood with the best score wins a block party some time in February with the band OK Go to perform.

Almost sounds like as much fun as playing games on your smart phone except that you have to hang out at a bus shelter. Great way to pass the day for workers and students alike. Take a look at this worker cleaning the bus shelter and students so wrapped up in the competition missing their bus. If this becomes a thing of the future there will be a lot of people losing their jobs and a lot of late slips being handed out at schools. These touch screens are scheduled to be removed by the end of January but if this campaign was as successful as believed it would be you’ll be seeing a lot more of these game screens popping up around the world. What a great advertising tool and leave it to Yahoo to come up with such a great idea. Target audience – young people such as high school students who love playing video games. How much would the video game giants pay for this type of advertising? Lets just say the sky is the limit with this one.
